A Pause, Not a Full Stop

I’ve always believed in showing up, even when the odds are lopsided. Running for office was never about ambition or image for me. It was about responsibility, community, and the stubborn hope that ordinary people can still shape the world around them.
This cycle, I didn’t make the ballot.
I didn’t hit the signature threshold. I didn’t raise the kind of money that fuels modern campaigns. And yes, there were days when time, energy, and life itself got in the way.
But failure isn’t the same thing as regret.
Because I also learned a lot. I met people I never would’ve met otherwise. I saw what issues really matter to the people living here. I got a clearer picture of how the system works… and how it fails the people it’s supposed to serve
This wasn’t a loss. It was reconnaissance.
And I’m not done.
The issues that drove me to step out of my comfort zone: economic stability, community health, sustainable energy, human dignity; Still matter. If anything, they matter more now than when I started.
So here’s the plan: I’m stepping back, not stepping away. I’ll keep organizing, building, and learning.
And when the 2028 cycle comes around, I intend to run smarter, stronger, and with a far wider network behind me.
This isn’t a concession speech. It’s a save point.
Thank you to the people who supported me, trusted me, challenged me, and kept me grounded. I’m not going anywhere. I’m just regrouping.
See you in 2028.
